Tyre and rim tech info

Post by Daz_FTO »

I found this sticker in my car with numbers indicating rim and tyres sizes. i am assuminig these are recommended sizes. If not please comment. I hear plenty of posts about tyres rubbing, and needing to get a new set of wheels for my car i wanted to make sure i dont get rubbing. Is there anyone that uses any of the below combo's that have any probs?

15 x 6.0 inch rims - 195 60 15 tyres
16 x 6.5 inch rims - 205 60 16 tyres
17 x 7.5 inch rims - 215 40 17 tyres

load index of 78/425kgs and speed rating not less than 210kmph

cheers,

Daz.

Hey Daz,

I just recently got new 18" rims with 225/40 tyres and do experience alittle rubbing at full locking, but now that i think about it if i got 215/40 i probably could have overcome this :?: :!: :?: :!:

if im using a lot of the suspension travel with the front wheels turned left, my 215/17/40's on the left rim still scraps the wheel arch. Oh mine is lowered as well.
