LHF Sway bar support braket

Post by rotc1585 »

Hi all.

Recently, My FTO has a huge nosiy at the back while I was driving the car.

I had look at it. And I found the sway bar braket has been broken.

I rang to Mitsubishi dealer then. They required VIN no and details. But, they don't have one in Australia.

And then, I have sent some messages to Ebay sellers in relating to FTO parts.

One guy suggested that head over to ftoaustralia.com and send a message to
dstocks he might be able to help me out.

However, I dont know how to send a message to him. I am a newbie and I am
oversea guy.

Please help me out. I am really love FTOS. I live in South side Brisbane.

Please advise me where to go to fix or get a new one. I can replace it myself.

It's just bolts on type.

Thanks heaps Junhyuk

Youve found him ;) . Im dstocks

Front or rear swaybar (rear from what you are saying). Passengers side of the car or drivers side. Im thinking it is probably the bracket that bolts to the chassis rail of the car and not the bracket that holds the swaybar on. The L shaped bracket has a tendency of breaking (ive had one break on my car before). Probably have a couple in the shed. Fairly easy to replace yourself (4 bolts from memory). If you can let me know exactly which one you are after, im sure we can sort it out for you.

cheers

There should be a thread called dstocks do you have?

Btw I need rear right side dogleg control arm thingy but I need the bit it mounts to on the chassi its a part that's spot welded on
What's the chances of getting one of them ? Or should I just try and rebend mine

Can you send a pic or describe a little more. I cant work out which bit you are talking about im afraid. Ill probably have what you want, but just have to work out which bit it is and on which side of the car.

      G'day Dstocks.

Sorry I made a mistake. It is a Left hand rear (passenger side) sway bar bracket. The bracket that bolts to the chassis and it holds the sways bar on as well. The botls are 2 to chassis. 1 more bolt to the bracket to hold a bush that hold the sway bar.

I can send some pics to you for more arcuracy if you let me know your email address. My email address is loveitqueensland@yahoo.co.kr.

      Thanks for your help Dstocks

If anyone see Red FTO with 2 white stripes in South side Brisbane, It is me^^
I am actually joined FTO Korean forum that have a lot of information as well.
I am pretty sure I can share good information. Example, lower engine mount can share with Hyundai Excel Front engine mount. Huge cheaper than Mitsubishi. I will come and tell ya more good news. Thanks all.
