If I had my time again, I'd do things a bit differently!

I had my FTO for 11 months and spent over 4k whilst being a uni bum/working casually, not including the standard keeping costs of compre insurance at 3k+ and greenslip/rego.

How the hell did i have that money when in uni lol =/

I've kept a track of my spending/cars and it's interesting to note when i had newer/higher potential cars, you spend only a little more or same as an older sports car as there is less to improve and the money sometimes went onto partly aesthetic items. With the FTO, it was all spent on performance and i shopped around for everything whether it was bargaining when buying, second hand stuff, getting good deals and having a good reliable cheap mechanic.

The r33 currently has 35k of work/gear in it but thankfully a lot of it was done by the previous owner *dance*

I spent well over 4 grand on my BMW in the short time I had it, so I cut my losses and am selling it.

Since I brought the Skyline in June I've spent about $260.....Had to get 2 new tyres for the rear. I'm a poor student so can't afford to get it lowered just yet

I kept track for a while (like for the first 2, 3 yrs)... now I don't anymore.... but on estimate, would have spent at least 25k on mods, repairs, services etc... and everyone here should have been driving Euro sports cars already with all our money spent on our FTOs... :facepalm2:
