Re: getting less petrol out of a tank??
Is it half tank from full, or are you measuring from half full to empty?
I ask this because I get like 350kms from full to half, then from half and down it's like 200 kms. The readings are off on most FTOs.
As far as air con goes, yes, it does make a big difference if you've constantly got it on, however - If you're traveling on the highway, having your windows open uses up more petrol than air-con.
Apart from that, use 'Eco' on 20-21 as this puts the least amount of pressure on the aircon, using up less petrol, since if you've got it on 17 it'll obviously make it work harder than 21.

I have to work - People on the dole depend on me.

Re: getting less petrol out of a tank??
yeah i full tank the car then i just reset the odometer and see how much i use. its strange coz approx 30L per 200km thats whack! haha.
ohh well there's a problem with my ac, i just got it regased but the thing is it will only get cold asap if its on 17. if its higher than that it takes forever to get cold, so the guy said to leave it on 17
thanks sublime!

Hit the pump again and see what it takes to fill back up from 1/2 a tank. I'm thinking it's not 30L used yet.

The aircon will affect it more then you might think....
Anyways....I get 400km max (no aircon)....the light turns on and i've only hit the 400 or just over. Some weeks i hit just over 350 (a bit heavier on the foot sometimes). BTW, I use vortex 98.... ehehehe.

Btw, not the best idea to run your engine dry.... serious problems can occur...just ask my mate (must have had 20years of sh*t built up in his tank).
