And yesterday

Post by EscapingFate »

I got a call from my mechanic after i had put it in for a service telling me that i needed a few things changed (which i asked him to change already) and he said... He was having trouble tracking down 2 parts...

Is this going to be a common thing with my FTO? lol. (ive already had trouble tracking down a gear shifter bracket.... still yet to find one ill have to get an engineer to make one.)

It was just a water pump and my steering rack boot tie (i think thats what it was called in the MTA report i got done)

I dont think that the Fto's the easiest car to get parts for especially off the shelf but I think in time you get a better idea of where to look.

Stupid question really.

Honestly what did you expect? You bought an import.

If you didn't want to search for parts, you should have bought a falcon or commodore.

Just go to auto one, supercheap etc and ask for a waterpump for a hj galant should cost around $100 mark, and with the boots i think they are hj galant as well.Remember the fto is based on the cc lancer platform and things like suspension components are interchangable and some mechanical components are hj galant but the fto specific parts you can get from camskill.
