Parts information....? Getting ready for major service =)

Post by BJ »

Hey everyone, as in my previous topic, im planning to do a major service in my car. Lucky my uncle is a mechanic so he said i just have to pay for parts & just pay $50 for labour...hehe...so im planning to go to repco or supercheap auto (Which is better?) to buy the parts. Does anyone know what/which part number for the following:
oil, oil filter, timing belt, fan belts, Platinum sprk plugs.
If i missed anything, just let me know. Thanks again for your help =)
BJ aka DRFTO
PS. My FTO is an GR 95"

You can find those part numbers around the forums, just do a search.

You should also include the water pump. I am also due for my 100Kk service and I have the things needed.

Pay Autobarn a visit, and get:
HJ Galant timing belt kit
HJ Galant water pump
Platinum/Iridium Spark plugs to suit
Mobil1 5w30 full synthetic oil
Cooper/Ryco Z411 oil filter
Ryco Z441 Fuel filter (I do get confused between Z411 & Z441 about which is the oil and fuel filter)
6PK1080 Fan Belt
4PK945 Fan Belt

Thats what i can think of at the moment.

Be careful that's a GR (non mivec) kit with the T954, 226 tooth belt.
The GPX (mivec) version is the T987 with the 232 tooth belt.

It should be changed at intervals of every 100,000kms regardless. Seeing as you're nearing the 200,000km mark, I'd do it anyway.
