Unique Autosports in Castlehill Sydney sells them for $650 i think...

yes, you will need to change your driving lights and indicators, but i suspect the mounting bracket should be the same...

That's a neat price fto617 and I considered taking up the original offer u made the other week, but considering getting the indicators etc would cost more than the bumper itself I decided I wasn't made out of money afterall.

The mounting brackets for pre and post facelift models are different, so unless this bar was specifically designed as an upgrade for pre-facelift models, the mounts will need to be altered.

You use those as the indicators and put a set of orange bulbs in there. There's a bit of information about it on FTO Owners Club forums. http://www.ftooc.org/. Although the lights will fit, work still needs to be done on them to make them stay there.

i used the same mounting brackets from my pre-facelift bumper onto my facelift bumper with no modifications required to fit the brackets whatsoever...

interesting... I wonder why so many other people have had to alter the mounts to get the facelift bumper to fit on their pre-facelift model?

on a side note, I've just noticed that the rear numberplate on that beatle has been sprayed the same colour as the car!

I use to have one & i tell u those light aren't cheap in Aus, with the mod u have to do to them inorder to fit with the series 2 bumper, mind as well get the original lights, cause it would work out the same.
