Underbody Neons
I bought an underbody neon kit a few months ago, nothin fancy, got them at autobarn but i was stupid enough to not realise that they r only water resistent, not water proof...
Needless to say that 3 of the 4 tubes no longer work as they r water logged!!
My question is how do u go about water PROOFING them? Has anyone done this or can think of a way??
I just don't want to shell out for another set just to have them stop workin again!!

Thats the problem with things like that. U gotta be really careful plus u obviously know that there not legal while driving
Im not too sure how u fitted them , becuz i see a lot of people not fitting them rite and u can actually see the neon tubes. The tubes should be hidden and the only thing that should be seen is a glow.
Im not too sure if there would be anything to actually waterproof it and if there is, it'll probably cost too much.

since the ones u got are busted, u may aswell go buy aeropro ones, i got them and they are water proof, have had them on for almost a year now and they're still working
as for mounting them, it doesnt matter if u can see your globe or not!!
i was installing my neons with my mates prelude at the same time, i had side skirts and he didnt have any side skirts.
when we mounted the neons on the side, there was no where to hide the neon on his car, it was all hard metal, and u cant really drill thru it... we tried out best and we could still see the globe, but its cool...
when we mounted mine, my globe is hidden by my sideskirt, coz the sideskirt hangs down...
u can see the globe on my front bar, coz i wanted it like that!!! not because i didnt fit it right....
u can still see the glow even if the globe is exposed.....
if u want it brighter, just clean it every once in a while...
as for water proofing, the ones u got are probably not good, or they weren't meant for external use.. coz undercar neons should be water proofed for obvious reasons...

The ones i got were easy as to wire up, just makes the engine bay a little messy havin a few wires but u can hide them easy enough!
Instaliation isnt that bad, just takes a while, i had a friend help me out though! As for places to hide the globes, the rear one u can mount under the rear bumper theres a little shelf to mount onto, the sides are a little more tricky and require drillin some holes to srew the brackets into, plus i have VS sideskirts and the globes show a little bit, the front i had to mount straight onto the VS bumper, had to drill the fibreglass
but it holds well and looks mad as, well it did when they were workin!!
$160 seems really cheap???
the ones i got were $250 for 4 tubes
