best thing to do is google search race tracks in VIC.
Each track will have all the info on there web site.

For us NSW/SYD members we run at Wakefield Park, it costs $160 for your first day there as $50 is for your track license (yours for a full year) and $110 for the day on the track. Each time after that it's $110 only providing it's within that same year.

http://www.sandown.net.au/motoring/

theres a link to the sandown site as it seems this is the best option (if not tell me otherwise) and it dosent provide info for taking your car and driving it around a track...............

well give them a call or go for a drive and have a chat with them to see what they offer in the way of track days for street cars.
If you go down there it will also give you a chance to check out the track

Motorsport at Sandown is very limited. I very much doubt they have off the street days. You're best bet is Winton, Vic's equivalent to our Wakefield. Maybe try Calder but I doubt your chances...

Not really. A lot of the V8 tracks comprise public roads that are simply sectioned off to the public over the race weekend...

1. car – a racing suit, boots and helmet or flame retardant clothing from the neck to wrist to
ankle. You will be required to wear a helmet and closed leather shoes.

seems liek a lot i wonder if u can hire... think u can at calder.

You'll need a 2NS CAMS licence for that:

Winton on I think its 3rd or 4th July has a open track day. A few of us from the MR2 club are going. think the cost is $40 each driver!

as long as you have a helmet and neck to ankle / wrist's cotton clothing you should be OK.

make sure ALL loose items are removed from the car.
