it doesnt matter if u just happens as a one off thing, but continues use of it will damage and wear down yr engine.
dont be too stressed about it, just make sure u completely finish the tank be4 u put proper petrol in it.

You won't damage your engine. The FTO will automatically adjust the engine to compensate, you'll just have a little less power, that's all.

This has been covered MANY times now, just do a search and you'll find lots of info on it.

I think I might have to switch to unleaded for awhile due to the fuel prices atm. Bloody shocking. :(

I think rxboy worked out that it was cheaper in the long run to use premium because you got more mileage out of it per litre.

seriously imo i notice crap all difference when using ULP over PULP. Maybe its just my car :)

You dont need to completely finish off the tank though, just fill up whenever, it will balance itself out.

Why?

The FTO has a knock / detonation sensor and will automatically change the timing of the engine to compensate.

If the FTO was unable to do this, then yes, over a longer period of time you could damage your engine, but because the FTO can compensate for the various grades of fuel (as many cars can these days), you could drive on 92RON the entire time without any damage issues.

Again, very plainly and clearly, you will not damage your engine as it will adjust itself to compensate.

That may be false economy wildfaye and it might end up costing you more. The lower the RON of the fuel the less efficient your car will be.

If you are changing the RON of your fuel for a considerable time (e.g. you're moving up or down RON and will use it for a number of weeks) then it can be worthwhile resetting your ECU.

it won't be as agressive. With the lower RON fuel you'll loose some performance.
