Not-so-quick question...
I had urethane bushes installed on the rear ARB a few weeks back and ever since then I've had clunking/knocking on corners.
Could it be possible that they have been incorrectly installed and the ARB itself is clunking, or is it more likely the case that the increased stiffness has exacerbated any wear that the droplinks may have?
Thanks in advance

Re: Quick question
lay under the back and give it a yank. U'll soon feel if it's loose.
Better still jack it up and put it on stands, then you'll be able to check the drop links as well. If for example theres up and down movement in them, then they're gone. Also check all the bolts while you're under there.

Re: Quick question
Ok, so the sway bar is nice and stiff, no movement. But with the droplinks, they move quite easily from side to side. Would this suggest that if I were to jack the car up they'd move up and down easily too?
It has to be the droplinks right? I can't think of anything else that would clunk at the back during cornering...

Re: Not-so-quick question...
they should 'pivot' so to speak, they're essentially a ball joint, and this should be firm not loose, but there should be no 'play' in them.

Re: Not-so-quick question...
prob outside lower arm bushes (where the arm connects to rear hub). I need to do mine since putting in coilovers it knocks real bad if, I jack up rear can put a lever under wheel as to check wheel bearings and can feel and see the knocking. They are press fit and very cheap at camskill I was dumb and only ordered one though as thought they would come as a pair

"Press-fit" meaning I'm gonna have to outlay more money on mechanics who will take double the actual time required to do the job? Great...
Hmm I will have to jack it up and play with the wheel, as you said...
And is it this one you're referring to:

Re: Not-so-quick question...
Well if you "outlay" some money for a jack & some stands you may well find yourself pulling them out & getting a mechinic to punch them out from a 6 pack. Its a 2 minute job.
