Aircon problems

Post by nvr2low »

hey guys,
after having the aircon regassed their is something very wrong with my car.
everytime when i start the car up the demister starts up this is with the climate control off and the demister turned off.
sometimes it will turn off 5 mins later and then some times it wont turn off at all.
Also sometimes i have the aircon on then turn it off and it stays on and wont turn off. This is really giving me the sh*ts.

cheers mitch

that will be the little gremlins eating your wires behind the A/C display

But yeah def electrical sounds like most likely to be your control unit try swapping with someone elses to see if that solves it

Well I was just driving down the road today and the aircon just started up by itself it would turn off either. I have also found out that I can't stop air coming out the demister. Cold air comes out of it and fogs the window up when I press the button to change were the air comes out of it doesn't change.

May not be the problem, but check your fuses.
My aircon would start up on Auto 25Degree's everytime my car turned on(would reset after power off).. Doesn't sound like the problem but its worth a try dude.
