Haha

Yes, twas a successful day. We fixed a number of things, the TPS was registering only 5% throttle then, bang upto 100% :? Which has been giving me a super annoying flat spot when cruising at 60 kay in 4th or 5th, everytime you ease off the throttle, then put the foot down again, the motor tried to snap my neck with a stutter. This turned out to be a wiring issue, changed a few pins around & she came to life :) Which inturn solved the idle issue. It would idle, but where ever it pleased... could have been at 1300rpm, could have been 700. Now thats sorted too. We also found it running pretty heavy on fuel up top causing pinging from 6k upwards. Ironed that out as well.

Now the big question everyones been asking was about the cam timing. I've got the 2 vernier gears on the exhaust cams & have never used them, they were set at 0 all this time. We retarded by 2 degrees on both exhaust cams to see what would happen...

An easy gain of almost 10kws at only 9.5 pound boost :)

Now you're probably thinking, what did it do at 18 pound?

Well, when we wound the boost backup, the best we could manage was about 230kws before she started wheel spinning on the dyno

My poor, 3 track day veteran, sat in the sun for a year & a half whilst the transplant was done tyres just would not stick.

So we just had to do the math, if it was a 10kw gain at 10 pound, it would have been a 20-25kw gain at 18 pound. Approx 245atw kws we reckon.

Damn Ben that is like 40 kw than me on the same amount of boost sh*t haha. My vernier cams are set at 0 to so you reckon 2 degree retard is the prime and all it needs man?. Sounds very mean Ben I wanna come down to Sydney

Really like the look of that power curve, no real dips or flatspots. Well done :thumright:

Now to get it ready for a track day

I wanna see you increase that boost further; I have been running almost 1 Bar since I have had the car without problems even in 30 deg + weather. I reckon you would be pushing 215+ ATW with 4-5 psi more :)

Do eeeet!

I normally run it on 18 pound but it couldn't get traction on the dyno. That was reading over 230kws too.

NIce mate well done. Getting a bit of wheel slippage around the 3100rpm mark as well?

Yeah, that & trying to leap off the dyno again. She's fully spooled at 3100.

Hey Ben do you have the same problem as me I take off slowly at a set of lights put it into 2nd slowly reach says 2500rpm then if you floor it do the tires just spin. How much do you reckon it would cost to get your hot pipes made up from the turbos to the intercooler. I reckon mine are sh*t house and to restrictive, which is another reason I reckon I can't make over 10psi
