How do you get the headlights clear again?

Hi has anyone polished there headlights & if so what have did you use? As mine are not clear anymore.

Yeah mate look in the DIY section and there will be a how to guide just follow that.

dont no if u have done this yet but get 1500 fine wet and dry and rubbing compound keep the wet and dry wet and rub the lights untill milky stuff appears then use the compound and then wipe with a damp cloth hope this helps

Don't know why you quoted I8A4RE but I am sure he knows the procedure; @OP, there definitely is a guide in the DIY section for this and it goes into far more detail than the quote above.

Hi, I had to do the same thing. You need to cut them back with varying grades of wet and dry sandpaper from 800 grain to 1500 grain to 2000 grain.
Mask off the area to avoid damage to paintwork and be patient. Work your way through from coarse to fine wetting regularly. You can use a soft sanding block but a flat hand and circular motion is ok too. This is fairy labour-intensive work.
The plastic of the headlights has a coating. If the condition of the plastic is bad and the surface coating is flaking off you will need to rub back until all of the coating is removed from the plastic (the 800 grain should accomplish this).
Once you have worked through the grades of sandpaper finish off with a polish. I used a product made specifically for the job; Meguiar's PlastX ('bout 20-30 bucks).
This remedy is for advanced deterioration. If the damage is not too bad you may only need to use the Polish to fix the problem.
