Some work to my FTO 8)

Post by Curkas »

So i snapped the gear linkage in my car and pulled all the jizz out to get to the cable and am now awaiting on the arrival of my new one that Dstocks is getting in for me.

I figured this was a the perfect opportunity to do some painting on some bits and pieces and fix my de-laminated headlights.

(ummm yeah couldn't work out the embedding picture thingy mabobby... so i wacked them on Myspace since i don't use that anymore hope it lets you look)

started off like this....

(headlight = gross condition)

First of all i started with my headlights. did some sanding and some intense polishing. 8)

Next off was painting my calipers didn't get a photo of when i was actually doing them this is when i was doing my rims :)

I wanted to do something with my engine bay so figured a nice silver would be fun. haven't finished it yet and its all in pieces because i am still waiting on my gear cable...

I Felt like painting my rims for the fun of it and then after i did that i liked it so much and came to a conclusion to call my FTO "Nightrider" 8)

Lastly i wanted to see how the tail lights would look as circles. not too sure about them. But they aint really finished yet

Haha, its only been a week without being able to drive my car. So bored that i ended up doing all this.. but that only took me half a day off work...

Nice :thumleft:

looking good and you can proudly say you did it yourself 8)

Edit: Take back what I said after someone pointed out you painted the brake discs  x 1000

Dont worry, the paint should scrape off the disc

haha nah yeah a dude i work with did it to his and said just paint over that and let the paint scape off that part. haha. 8O

oh yeah and its like only really one coat on the actual disc. the discs basically got painted because i wanted the bearings to get a refresh in colour, they were looking a bit ill. and that little thingy that goes around the disc. haha ;)

don't think it really matters whether i painted the disc or not. it scrapes the paint off where i didn't want it so. wgaf!
