Mate I flew from melbourne to canberra the other day to purchase my fto and then drove 7hrs back to melbourne..

Dedication! haha

When my dad bought his car, we flew to Queensland and drove it back. Was painful but worth it.

Have you already been to see the Red 1997 model one on carsales right next door in Uley?

You can probably talk it down to at least 9k and at least it's a 1997 model so you won't have to worry about roof rust or anything like that.

If the size of your signature is anything compared to the size of your negotiation skills you should be able to sort something out.

hahaha its just temp sig... until i make a new one.

umm i actually have tried contacting the owner Danielle ( Red 97 FTO), but she has not answered her emails or phone calls for the past few months, i have let numerous messages , but had no responses. I also emailed carsales, but they havent gotten bak to me either....i actually thought i would come across her on this site, but unfortunately i didnt.
if the car is still on car sales, does that mean it is still avaliable, is there any other way of contacting the owner?

She probs sold it man and cant be bothered answering your calls or responding to emails lol..

When i put my hyundai accent up, it was a 2002 model and I was pissing it off cheap as nuts with a rwc included. I was getting about 4 phone calls a day. When I eventually sold it, I didn't take it off carsales until two weeks later because I couldn't be bothered typing in the link and clicking a few buttons lol.

But dude seriously, if you see a good buy interstate, it's worth it. I got my FTO for $6900. He was selling it with an ACT road worthy cert aswell but thats no good here in vic. Cost me $140 + 90 for the certificate so I think I've gotten a decent deal to be honest. Especially because I can do the work on the car myself without having to take it to the mechanics to get it sorted. Saves big $$$
