Hey guys,

Recently got my new FTO, a 95 GPX. Unlike my old one, this is an auto.

Anyways when moving from D to R, N and then D the car jolts quite suddenly and harshly. Any change of gears seems to trigger this, and even when the car is in motion and changes i can feel it lurch slightly when shifting.

Now the previous owners looked after it extremely well. But could it be something simple like transmission fluid?

Let me know if you've got any advice. :D

Oh I don't think its quite that bad, still engages without delay or slipping (causing it to rev before the shift).
But there must be some way to get it better without jolting. :)

How come your selling yours? Did you get an aftermarket one or something?

First place I would look is transmission fluid...may need a top up. Maybe check error codes as well?

mine does just that when changing into 2nd, and i know why.
but i'm too lazy to fix it lol

first of all, reset your tip computer first (it probably wont help, but it's a goo dstep in finding out wha tit is)
then trannie oil.

There's potential for a thread about anything on FTO Australia
