RDS (Radio Data system) function

This might sound really stupid:

Looking to buy a new 2DIN head unit, and would like one with RDS function. I am not sure if this is standard in all aftermarket stereo units nowadays. The manufacturer websites for JVC, Kenwood etc. don't mention that function in their specifications. Currently located in TAS, and because there are no radio stations here that support RDS, I wouldn't know. I am moving interstate next year, so hoping to know more about this! Thanks!
