Probably a stupid question, though a serious one..

Hey, I'm in QLD and wondering if theres a way to fast track my learner licence, i.e. get my P plates after the 100hours, without having to wait a year..

I figure that there probably isn't a way to do this, but i also figure that chances are, if anyone knows, its you fellas..

Cheers, Antoni

im pretty sure if your 18 and over on your learners, after completing 120hours you can go for the p's test as long as you've hold learners for minimum 6months.

im not 100% sure about this :?

I don't think it's possible. I'm pretty sure you have to be in you late 20's to be able to do what slurpee said.

Anyway your better off doing the 1 year of driving, it may seems like a long time but it's there for a good reason

You say you're in QLD but your details say you're in Eastern Sydney??

You can go straight from Ls to fulls on motorbike if you're mature age (>30 IIRC) and pass the Ps test.

No way to do that in cars, and with good reason... imagine 16 year olds flying about in cars w/o parents... 17 yo is scary enough.

yeah, as far as i can tell, you can't jump forward until 25..

and no, i'm 18, i just hate having to have my idiot mum in the car, who can't drive well anyway.. she got her license back in the day when they DID get them in cereal packets.. *rolls eyes*

and yeah, i understand why they have a year AND 100 hours.. it makes sense, i was just curious if there was some competency test or something that just wasn't heavily advertised..

i'd get a bike license, but you have to have your p's for a year.. and i'm a bloody month into the Ls..

*sigh* i spose i'll just have to wait..

P.S. i'm not a hoon, i just want to be able to drive myself places without someone else..

P.S.S. i mean't legally... lol

antoni was my +1 for the nsw cruises for the first half of this year, he moved and is too lazy to change his profile
