Car wont start again HELP

Post by Sophia »

So once again, my car wont start. This time I have no idea what it is, was working perfect this morning but went to it at lunch and tried to unlock it with the remote centrol locking as usual, it beeped but didnt unlock..... The LED light with the alarm wasnt flashing or doing anything out of the ordinary so I dont think it was activated.

Tried to start the car and my alarm sounded, then when I took the keys out of the ignition and it continued to sound but really quietly. Then checked the battery and it read 0. Now nothing was left on and this is a brand new battery so we are thinking alternator or the alarm system is fried....any help?

p.s hope this all makes sense...

So we just jump started it and took it to the auto electrician and the battery didnt charge at all which means its probably the alternator.

He will take it out and have a look at it and see if it is that if not the hunt to the real issuee starts  So a couple of questions:

1 How much is a new alternator?
2 If it turns out not to be an alternator, what else could it be?

I paid $260.00 for rebuild and labour. So anything more than $350.00 is a rip.

Sounds pretty fair to me :D

Give me like an hour or two to just talk to the auto electrician first and see if he will fix it for a carton of beer like he has with other stuff, if not ( :( ) consider it sold
