Reverse dials now installd on tip

Had these installed today and gotta say they look awesome. However, the tiip cutouts on the tacho isn't alligned exactly as the original. Maybe i just have to adjust it slightly..

Does anyone else have these fitted to their tiptronic ftos? Are the cutouts perfectly alligned to the lights?

Yes I had the same problem, just trimmed the alignment holes to make it fit better.
Also noted that the dail hands are not iluminated, so brought a 12 red laser light kit from DSE, I removed the covers and fitted them in strategic position in the guage housing to illuminated the dail hands on the clock and volt meter.
Now I can see them. Will do the rest later.

I managed to move the dilas slightly and now teh cutouts fit perfectly for the tip lights. It took me 4 goes of taking the dial console out to get it right.

Yeh i have the problem of not being able to see the needles. They are very dull. I hope changing to white bright leds will make em brighter.

hello,

Is that straight replacement of the bulbs that were there to illuminate the needles better?
Were they an LED bulbs?

And just replace one of the bulbs that were already there?

Or did you make another hole your self and fitted them directly behind the needles or some thing?
Because I'm getting the same thing,,,the dials are so bright that it eats the needle's brightness....so need to upgrade them as well....

Please tell us how you did your's.

Its a bit tricky , but I fed the light through the holes left when I removed the dial lamps and them had to position and secure each of the laser lights so that it would illuminate the dail hands on each of the dials.

The light kits are around $25.

after seeing one of these babies in Tanya's car I can vouch for its cool factor in the dark!

certainly a very worthwhile mod to brighten up your interior!

I'm thinking of putting in a blue LED where the bulbs used to be....do you think this will help?
I know that the bulbs are not exactly behind the needles for the needles to be brighter, but just thinking there must be a easier way to do this....
Maybe put in a red LEDs....
Then the green and the red will mix huh?
