headlight pod colour
I am planning to install a pair of angel eyes on the car this weekend and wondering, might as well paint the inside of them. Now,I'm not actually quite sure whether its legal or not to have them painted (let's say white or chrome).
If anyone has tried this or know the legalities with this, it would be a great help.
Thanks Kirk

angel eys are illegal btw.
i think anymodification to the headlights and taillights is illegal, but as far as i know, you shouldnt worry, never known anybody that has copped a fine for painting the plastic inside.

The piccies really dont do it justice, but here are a few:

As to how, bake the lights, unscrew the cover, send it away to get done. When it comes back, screw it back in and rebake.

Where, how much, and how long do they take?
I never heard of CF dipped, I've heard of CF wrapped but that's about it.

I got m ine done at the dashboard centre in Melbourne - www.dashboardcentre.com.au (and it probably is CF wrapped). They take a couple of weeks to come back if you send them to him. As to price, it would be less than $100 I think, but youd have to ask. I have spares of the insides that id be happy to lend people (as long as you cover postage). Just send me back the old ones when you have replaced them.

Re: headlight pod colour
Everything is going well so far, can anybody tell us which specific wires to connect the angel eyes wires to? Were planning on connecting it to the fog lights, but unsure of the wiring.kirksta wrote:I am planning to install a pair of angel eyes on the car this weekend and wondering, might as well paint the inside of them.
Also is possible to bake the fog lights so it can be painted inside? If so, how do you detach the wiring behind it? 2 bulbs have been disconnected but the 3rd wont come out.
Thanks!

you can bake the foggies aswell... i have done it numerous times to get moisture out and its the exact same process as the headlights
as for wiring, i've wired mine up to seperate switch....
battery positive -> switch -> angel eye box -> earth
but if you want just splice into the fog wire and run it through there.
