AUTO AIRCON

Post by Fulltiltorgasm »

anyone know how to most effectively use the heater ?? i usually set the temperature but not sure what other settings to use, it seems to take a little while to heat up ?? i looked in the basic manual and it does not detail what the settings are and how to use em ??

just cos its queensland dont mean it aint cold early mornings, it gets down to 5-8 degrees early morning, so i would reckon that warrants a heater lol :D

*gives a shoulder to cry on*

guess youre lucky u dont live in Tassy where thats the top temp of the day...lol

anyways-- i seem to have the same issue, my heater tends to work really well when the back window dimister is on...

also, imo the best way is before u lock up for the day set the temp gauge to 22 n when u get into the car the next morning, let the engine warm up n i have it on 1 or 2 bars... seems to work for me. (i usually have to turn it to 21 after driving for 5mins as it gets a little too oven-like in my car)

dont know if that helps...

Shut up.. lol naah im more referring to the a few of the icons/symbols on the display panel, theres like a toggle option between a snowflake symbol an eco (economy) or neither im assuming heating requires both to be off???

snowflake = aircon
snowflake eco = economy aircon to save some fuel
no snowflake = just heater/fan

Heating occurs in any of these modes, but I recon aircon off heats up the car a bit quicker.

Tend to have her on eco during the winter - that way I don't get to summer and suddenly the aircon doesn't work cos I've not used it.

Like Cass said, if it's a cold morning, even more reason to start the car and let her warm up before you drive her anywhere, so the heater will have warmed the cabin up nice anyway!
