i just said 200kg as an example to get point across
however you can remove AC system, stereo, all seats, door trims, elec windows, all boot material ETC use lightweight wheels, any excess cabin triming.
anyway you can see my point

of course it will be completely unpractical except for the track but im saying that reducing weight is a very effective tool for a quick car

Well, already got the lightweight rims. Like my mod cons though, so thats about all that im prepared to do as far as weight reduction is concerned. As I mentioned earlier, id get more from going on a diet than removing any individual item off the car.

Nah mate, I am disagreeing with the weight loss mod. What he is trying to say to you is stip your interior, sit on the floor of your car, take off most of your exterior panels including windscreen and you will have a very nimble car. There is prob 200kgs there.
No he is not, dont be an idiot. Weight reduction, as said, is an extremely effective tool. I could easily find 100kgs without doing any of the impractical smart ass things you said and thats without even trying.

I guess he still wants the mod cons to keep it practical for everyday use, I could understand weight reduction as a way to prep it for track use but I can also understand why he would want to keep them.

awesome results for an fto! definatly shut up some v-tech fanboys for sure.

on the weight reduction thing, in the cyborg i removed most of the sound deadiner from the floor and chucked on some light weight rims and boy howdy it made a difference... and my car weighs in at under a ton from factory, so it would of had to shed some kgs to make a seat of the pants difference, never got a 1/4 run to check out the offical change in speed though.
I would imagine that the fto would have a butt load of tar under the carpet that you could remove it makes minimal noise difference and it wieghs a lot!.
