replacing lifters.. anything i should change while im at it?

hi guys

finally able to set a set of lifters in from Kempys..
so while im replacing them is there anything else i can/should replace?

only if it needs it
rear plugs (iridium)
spark plug seals
rocker cover gaskets
leads

just easy to do while you have rockers off, saves time if they need doing soonish

yeah the plan is to clean the TB and intake plenum with carby cleaner..
its grotty as in there.. then change the spark plugs as they will no doubt be foul..

so nothing else is really required whilst i got the head off?

bloody FTOs have to many common faults haha

Goodluck with the rear bank without a proper tool its a pain in the arse.

not to replace them its straight forward enough as he is doing

but if adjusting on a gpx then much easier with proper tool

how much is the gasket gona set me back?
where can i get aftermarket rather OEM..

are iridium honestly that much better then std NGKs?
mind u this isnt a highly modified car.. its my misses dead stocker lol

and spark plug seals???? never heard of this before on any car

I think maybe he meant rocker cover gasket / intake manifold gasket..

rocker gaskets $30-40 each you need 2
go iridium or platinum they last 3x as long so no need to remove all the crap for rears again
spark plug seals are under the rocker, they tend to leak after time causing miss fire and fouling of plugs

ha ha. i was just about to post a topic on the price of rocker cover gaskets until i saw this. thanks vipfto. i'm using my girlfriends car which is an fto. the rockers covers are pissing out oil!!! and yeah. never use plain old ngk plugs on a car where plugs are hard to get to. thank god for iridiums!!!
