hey guys my GR is auto
i removed the stepper motor and cleaned it with carby cleaner... after having problems with car starting and revs dying...
gave the TB a squirt with carby cleaner (butterfly closed) and cleaned out where the stepper motor goes back into the TB..
weird thing is now when i drive the revs drop just after it changes gear and then jerks back up and drives ok.. its kinda irratic and the engine light comes on and off too
is there a diganostic plug where i can put a paper clip and check what code its throwing like hondas?
i reckon it could be the spark plugs are fouled but the engine wasnt running when i was spraying the carby cleaner into the closed TB??
def not fuel filter cos its only just happening after i cleaned the stepper motor...
engine light coming on is throwing me off as to what it could be...
idle dropping after cleaning stepper motor..

try doing this, (this is for installing new one but may still apply)
Do only steps 4 & 5
Fitting Instructions
1. Remove old stepper by undoing the electrical connector and unbolting from throttlebody fast idle valve.
2. Clean area where stepper plunger goes into throttle body.
3. Fit new stepper.
4. Start car and wind idle screw in until it idles properly at about 2000rpm cold.
5. Wait until normal temp is reached at 2000rpm now adjust idle back down to 850~900 rpm.
Done
Hope this helps
