sound from the rear passenger wheel

fto has knocking sound coming from the rear left wheel. The sound will speed up when i accelerate and will be silent at random times,

Anyone have any idea of what it is?

wheel bearing?

have you tried jacking the car up and turning the wheel manually to see if the sound persists?

Yeh i've done that, i bought a spare wheel bearing hub off jono, which i've yet to drop in so im guessing its that. I'll take the wheel off and take a few pics of whatever i can and try to get the bearing hub in aswell.

A wheel bearing is the most easiest thing to diagnose. As koolio says jack car up but leave the wheel on. Spin wheel whith your as fast as you can and while it is spinning place your hand on the shock as close to the hub as possible. If you feel a rough vibration your bearing is fucked, it shouldnt be able to feel any vibration what so ever

plus one. I just got myself a set of the heavy duty whiteline rear links as I'm sick of them dying...beno they look pretty tough. Just waiting on some new bushes and its should fix up the same issue.

Is that a whiteline swaybar? or droplinks? If so how much did it set you back? I might aswell spend the 900 from the government on these

just for information I installed the GPX heavy duty rear drop links from white line and some new poly bushes and all noise are gone...

the whiteline links are great, adjustbale and have a bolt with a nut which makes it loads easier for getting them off - the standards are crap once they get worn.

Sounds good. By the sounds of it, they've now using better quality ball joints.

dont know if they are better, but they couldnt be worse than the stock items...even when new they seem sh*t. Anyway see how long these ones last.
