insurance

Post by miss-enzo »

Ok so since im the other side of the world I have to ask about insurance in Oz! :D

So how much generally do people pay for insurance (if you dont mind me asking that is)

In general in Ireland the FTO is not insured by many companies for a few reasons;
1. they are an import (and therefore cost more to fix)
and 2. its classified as a "high powered sports car". now i LOVE my car but there are a lot more "high powered sports cars" around that are insured by almost every company! it sucks! :(

So my insurance is €770 (about $1,486.92) thats with all my modifications delcared (suspension, brakes, induction kit) and fully comp
Im 24 and 4 yrs ncb. thats a cheap price considering some guys who are 30+ are paying more than that!

So whats the story in Oz? Do ye have the trouble we have? Do ye have to delcare modifications? Do ye declare modifications?

where in Aust are u looking at living? thats the most important thing... ive noticed that NSW and Victoria have totally diff costs n it really depends on gender, age, location, etc. some insurance companies base it on the kilometres you drive others like you said wont insure because its an import.
