interesting indeed!....too bad i dont have a black fto. :(

Ive seen a few remedies, one being a mixture of toothpaste and charcoal which apparently hardens when put on in small amounts.

I'm gonna try this soon, will take my before and after pics (when I get off my ass and actually do it, judging by my history of doing things this is probably 5 years away)

Dont wanna sound like Im stating the obvious, but whats wrong with touch up paint? The stuff that comes in an eyeliner-like container with a little brush :?:

I've seen people with touch up paint on their cars and it always clearly stands out more than the scratches, that's why I've never really bothered with it.

You've seen the scratch on my door a few times now Ben, I thought about putting touch up paint on it but I'm sure it'd be very noticable if I did go over it with it - Or is there any way to make it match perfectly and not stand out?

Well, with touch up, I usually put too much on (thats the look that makes it stand out) then you have to cut & polish the section. Getting rid of the excess touch up & only leaving the required paint in the gouge / scratch. People always forget the cut & polish stage after applying the paint.

Hmm, I might try it on the scratch, see how it works out.

Although unsure at this stage if the shoe polish method can make it more "subtle". Time for some testing.. see if I can get to it this weekend.
