Slight Problem

Post by xj265 »

um when i turn the key it won't turn, its stuck the key won't move at all.

when i got in the car i turned the immobiliser off and put the key in and it wont turn? and then after 30 seconds the immobiliser kicks in again. so its like the key isn't actually in the slot? but when i opened the doors it still beeping to tell me that the key is still in. the key isn't actually stuck in the ignition it just won't turn.

what's happened, is this the immobiliser?

Its a very common problem with FTO's mine did it just after it was out of waarranty. Its a real simple fix.

Yang is right, the ignition doesnt think you have it in park (even though you do). Just remove the plastic covers from the steering wheel coloum and beside the the ign switch there is a little block thingy that i just completely removed....problem solved..... Bring your car to the DIY and ill fix it for ya
CHRISTIANITY: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...
