probably round 5psi to start with, make sure everything is working properly. then move up to 7.

That said, without a tune, you dont wan boost or engine will go...

when she's on the road, and there is load on the engine, it will build boost as more exhast gas passes the turbo...

I would suggest give it a quick stab and see if it builds some, but its at your own risk...

slowly pressing the accelerator wont build boost without load... quick jabs should though...

Think about it...

Turbo spins due to exhaust gases. More exhaust = faster spinning = more boost

With no load on the engine, you could sit at 4,000rpm with only 5% throttle, hence very little exhaust gasses are expelled as it is easy to keep it at that revs...

I can drive at 5,000rpm and not even make boost.... But put the pedal into the floor and im on 15psi at 3,000rpm... exhaust = boost....

makes perfect sense i dont know why didnt think of that. I guess im just paranoid as i was a bit of a novice with turbo's before this project

OMFG WHY DID I NOT THINK OF IT! i was in gold coast for the weekend AGRHHH are you next to movie world by any chance? i got 60 dollar return plane tickets with jetstar so went up for the weekend omg i should of thought of saying hello bahhh next time

ok disconnected the wastegate, washed her and then took her for a spin. Everything looks sweet so far, still no leaks, exhaust is actually quieter than before (was bloody loud beforehand), dont know if that will change when im getting boost.

Now looking forward to tomorrow...............with some apprehension.

Yeah was at tuners all day today and they didnt finish it........why? i hear you ask.

Cause the tuners accountant rocked up so he was in a meeting all arvo

ITS FINISHED

OMG, just drove it back to work and its totally unbelieavble.

Only running 5psi to settle everything in then i will wack it up to 7psi, maybe 8.

As you may or may not be aware, i didnt upgrade the fuel pump and at 5psi its completely maxed out. So to run 5psi stock fuel pump is sweet any more than that an you will need to upgrade. Not a big deal really when you can pick them up for $130 or so
