Not meaning to hijack this thread - Just a quick question related to pads.
I was having a discussion with somebody at work and he was talking about getting new pads for his r33, he said he'd get them for like 40 bucks or whatever, we started talking about good quality brake pads and he said there's no such thing as "good quality brake pads", they're all the same and if I was to spend like 150 bucks on brake pads instead of 40 bucks, I'd just be getting ripped off cos it's exactly the same thing.
I couldn't tell him what was special about more expensive brake pads, so can somebody please help me out here so I can go back and tell him he's a f*ckwit and I was right?

Yes, GR's have single spot calipers and 256mm rotors. GPX's have twin spot calipers & 276mm rotors. Show us a picture & we can tell you which ones they are.
Oh, and as for information on the topic, JFGI

Yes, GR pads are common to some of the CC lancers (would need to confirm for you.) GPXs are common to the EVO II & III.2nd question, do they share the same pads with lancers or anything else?
Any auto shop will stock them or will be able to order them in.3rd question, where is the best place to get em?
Why? Do the brakes shudder? Do you get vibration through the pedal? If not, then no, there's no point.4th question, car is coming up to 100,00 kms so should i the get the discs machined
Tell him he is a f*cking tool, and probably the kind of retard that will end up in a retirement village front yard when his brakes fail after street racing his mate Habib in his fully hetik WRX. If he ever takes his 33 out on the track I'll make damn sure Im not anywhere near the track.I was having a discussion with somebody at work and he was talking about getting new pads for his r33, he said he'd get them for like 40 bucks or whatever, we started talking about good quality brake pads and he said there's no such thing as "good quality brake pads", they're all the same and if I was to spend like 150 bucks on brake pads instead of 40 bucks, I'd just be getting ripped off cos it's exactly the same thing.
