Hi all,
I haven't posted here in a long while, and it is embarassing to say, since last time, money has been a b1tch, and my car has gone down hill severely, subsequently it is now de-registered.
Things are on the up and up now, so I am going to get a new shell and transfer all of the running gear into it, a fresh lease on life.
The shell I am looking at is a manual, mine is Tip, I want to use the manual box with the 6a13tt engine (the engine was from a manual Legnum originally). Apparently there was quite a lot of fiddling needed for the ECU (possibly just the wiring) to get it working with the Tip box.
Can anyone foresee any electrical issues when I swap everything over? Will the engine (or more specifically the ECU) be expecting to see a Tip box?
Next I need to look into is what needs to be done...
From the old GR motor, I guess I need to swap the flywheel over to the 6a13, then the clutch (I will get a new one, perhaps Exedy or similar).
I am assuming axles etc will all be fine.
Other than transferring everything (including electrics), what else can expect to come up against?
Disclaimer: I have been a party to engine swapping before, it is just the oddities I need to know about, as myself and the people halping me can handle the other issues with regards to getting everything in.
