What should the psi engine compression be in a GPX?6A12 mivec engine 175-180 psi engine comp.
all engine accessory are functioning correctly.
no error codes loged in ecu.
clutch 70%
tyres 75%
no oil water vacume leaks.
suspensions in perfect working condition.
gearbox in perfect working order.
brakes and abs functioning correctly.
over all it is a tidy car.
I've tried looking around online, and even flicking through the technical manuals, but I can't find that information anywhere.
My understanding is that if the psi is too low, you have a leak in the engine, reducing performance and wasting fuel, but if the psi is too high, it can mean the engine is firing to early, leading to extra wear and tear. Is this correct?
As an aside, they've said the ABS is functioning correctly, but I was under the impression that ABS was only fitted to 97 models and onwards, and this is a 96. Is it likely that someone might have fitted one in Japan, or is it more likely that the mechanics been lazy in their inspection?
I'll post a pic of the engine bay later on tonight when I get home if that would be of assistance.
