Bingo - they were changed during your timing belt service. Cam Cover / Rocker cover is the same thing... I'd be heading back there & getting them to sort it!zuihoujueding wrote:bennoz, really hope that you are right!
FYI, i have all these stuffs done during timing belt change:
1)timing belt kit
2)belt tensioner
3)4x cam and crank seals
4)2x engine cam cover seals
5)4x rear seals
6)inlet manifold gasket
so where is the rocker cover gasket? im happy to take your offer!

haha....you people are so confident!
anyway, did some research and it says some symtoms of a blown head gasket, (not sure of just leaking will have the same symtoms):
1)blue smoke out from exhaust
2)coolant turns milky
3)engine turns milky
4)car overheating, etc etc.
and i have non of those. all i ve done just then was to wipe up all the oil stains as much as i could. Man, its all over the undercarriage. The wierd thing was it had just been cleaned less than a month ago with timing belt service.
The mechanic is a very good talker, and was convinced that my head gasket is leaking and even the part where the engine and gearbox connect is leaking. Damn, what should be the next step?

Are you sure it is leaking from the top of the engine? If it is leaking from inside the gearbox casing then it will be your crankshaft oil seal which is goosed. I did mine last year as it was dripping thorugh the hole at the bottom of the case and being blown all over the underside of the car.zuihoujueding wrote: even the part where the engine and gearbox connect is leaking. Stopped the rust though

seriously i dont know. Oil droplets are all over the undercarriage that its impossible to trace the origin. I have to wipe them all dry and go for a short drive tomolo and see where teh leak is/are coming from. I pray that its from something which the mechanic had done so i can get it fix without any charge.Storm wrote:Are you sure it is leaking from the top of the engine? If its leaking bad enough then it will throw oil everywhere.
A very simple rule i apply is
If my car is doing something it didnt, after it goes in to a workshop, there's about a 97% chance they fucked something up
