yeah viper car alarms...when to activate the alarm it goes 'viper on' and if someone gets too close to the car it tells tat person to step away from the car. pretty expensive though and its not so good because my fren used it. mongoose is better. u also need to get the insurance approved one rite? else they wun insure u if yeah car gets stolen

Yeah viper were one of the best. but i did hear a couple of years ago that they were really easy to by-pass, but that was from the guy who sold me the mongoose
Also car alarms are like stereo's etc they are always getting better so you would expect the thread to keep coming up. its when people keep starting threads like...... "car not idling" and "car stalls" week after week

when has that stopped anyone elsei think there is a about 1000 topics on this in the threads

Oh and how much are alarms generally to install and can it be done yourself?

its definately not insurance approved. The remote control is a bit big though...and the wires are colour, not black. If anyone tries to break in n steal yeah car they can do it pretty fast because of the colour wires are easy to tell. Bit sus because the price is too cheap. This might either be an older model or a cheap replica of the original one. Ebay sometimes is untrustable these days. I remember some of the good ones had voice warning in it tat used a person's voice to tell u whether the car has been armed or to warn a person to stay away from the car if he got too close.
I've heard of pp installin the alarms themselves but they come up with all sorts of problems like the auto lock stops working, the impact sensor not working or the immobilizer not deactivating etc. Pretty hell lot of teething problems if u done install it properly. I thik for like 150 bucks u can get a mech to do it proper.

I got the M80S. Its got an ultrasound sensor inside one on each side. SO if some doofus goes in and tries to cut wires, they'll be blasted with 1000000 db. And get it professionally installed.

i had viper 791xv top of the line in my r32 it was a pretty good system too - had extra options like remote start, boot release, autowindow wind up, and a few more but i didnt get them cos have to pay extra for the plug or something. this one was pretty good cos it would respond when i was in my office(2nd lvl) and the car was parked on the street(200-300mtrs away) it even worked on the roof (3rd lvl) and i would stand up there and auto start when ppl walked past or were too close heheheh would scare the carp out of them hehehe.
