simon, for once i actually agree with you

i say it won't work, the poms say it won't work, ben is saying nothing more on the matter... but hell, if someone wants to try it then why not, and we'll then have the dyno graphs to prove it.

these fan superchargers do nothing ... my brothers best friend tried one for his dc5 ... absolutely no gains.

Later that year he spent nearly 8k on a jacksons racing one and it pulled 165kw atw from 120

Pretty simple solution, if we can get enuff ppl, each one chips in 10 bucks and someone go try it out. If it doesnt work, we can always sell it off ebay for a lower price to some dumbass who will get it n just keep the money for the maintainance of the forum

Brilliant idea. Get a coordinator to set up a PayPal account everyone can put their donations into and get this thing started. :)

 typical NZer.

And my moment of clarity was...

'Nick is putting money into something. Will Nick see any real benefit?'
-- originally I was thinking that yeah, the benefit would be that whenever anyone asked, could shut them down with dyno graphs --
but then, my moment of clarity -
'why the hell waste money on something that IS as stupid as it sounds, it won't work, and anyway, it's much more fun just bagging people when they bring it up every fortnight anyway'.

EVERY TIME from now on, that you bag someone asking if these work or not, i'm going to simply say 'Proof?'.

I'd much rather live with that, than live knowing that I padded the pockets of some dude making a killing selling computer fans to naive motorists.

Simply, in the car world there is no such thing as an effective and undiscovered horsepower gain. You can have one or the other, but not both!

MAHAHAH!!!
$500 for a brushless?

Less than $300 to make one yourself, and you could likely make it much faster for the cost.
