Raise the roof! or limiter at least...

Post by Leigh »

Anyone know how to raise the rev limiter, for example to get it to go to 9k. rather then 8.2kish. Also anyone had any bad experiances when doing this?

there is no point in doing so IMO... how much HP is an extra 800rpm can give you anyway  if anything, it'll only wear out your engine much quicker if you intend to raise the RPM limit with stock internals.

but if you really have to know, i think you need a new standalone engine management system and lighter valvesprings (AFAIK)....

Why do you want to go to 9,000rpm?

If it's for extra power you ain't going to get it.

The maximum power output from the FTO's engine is around 7,500rpm as it goes above this rev range the power drops
