Outside Temperature Sensor reporting Negative Temps

Post by Kace »

An interesting situation that I have not seen referenced anywhere else before...

Has anyone ever had the experience where the outside temperature (as shown on the aircon console) drops down and goes negative during a trip - NOT during cold weather though.

Since I have had my Heater Matrix replaced, mine has started to fairly regularly drop from normal temp (let's say 20 degrees on a nice day) to temperatures as low as -15 degrees

It just creeps down there sometimes even though it's not anyway cold outside at all.

Outside Temp Sensor issue was my initial thinking - maybe it's not plugged in or something, or maybe something else went wrong when he replaced the matrix.

Anyone else ever seen anything like this ?

Yip i get that all the time but I live in CHCH NZ so often below zero in winter

But sounds like temp sensor having issues or has been rewired incorrectly 8O
