do you think you could ask them how muh it cost for a full body respray in the same colour??
i wanna get an idea of how much i need to save up :P

thanks kim!
Depends on how much body work you need to do ... Little dents, high spots and low spots etc.

But you would be lookingat a couple of thousand ... My guy did a bare metal resprayon his 180sx, shaved some arts off the boot, custom paint, and fitted a kit for 5k ... My Evo/GSR needed a bare metal, body straight, fitting of kit, high spots, low spots and a air bit of work .., Got it all done for about 9k ...

Yeah, but if you see the quality job they did on my car, you would go that far... And it was all done in under a month ...

I found a few things like that on the Evo/GSR ... In some parts it looked straight and all good, but when it was back to bare metal, you could see all the dodgy stuff done in the past ... Few dents on the roof that were just bogged up too ... Guy that did the car said the previous spray painter should have been shot ...

Worse thing was, that in some parts (around the windows and stuff) you could peel off the paint, and see the original car colour ... So I am guessing prep work was not the previous spray painters forte ... Which is why we went back to bare metal ...

i went n seen the car today n noticed tiny tiny holes on the roof n supposidly its a common thing on imported cars, the roof can get pretty wrecked in certain spots when in the container. so to get the dents out they drill into the roof and pull up so therefor the previous owner had just bogged it up without fixin the problem the right way...
heres a few picks so far. i dont think ive ever put up photos before but i had a huge dent in the front ride hand wheel arch, the boot and the rear right side of the car n thats all fixed up now!

That previous repair work looks like it was to fix the roof lining rust/glue problem that so many of us have. Oh well, be good to get that sorted.
