Want to buy ilding controller

my gpx mivec manual needs a new idling controller. it revs up n down in neutral moving, and when stopped goes up to 1500RPM. anyone know what to do? mechanic says idle controller is faulty. please help!

Try searching the forums for "stpper motor", you might not need a new one it might just a clean.

Yup, stepper motor. Just got my replacement from Nardek. 2 bolts, unhook the battery for half an hour for the ecu to reset, and good as new.

$195 for brand new from Nardek, and was happy with that. Part Number 510-16. They knew what an FTO was and what engine it had, which is always reasuring. If in doubt, give them the serial number off your old one and they'll double check which one you need.

My local Mitsi place wanted $700 for a new one. :lol:

I got my last one as a recon from Kempy's, and only lasted 2 1/2 years before going belly up again.

There used to be a few on ebay for cheap, but there was confusion on whether these were correct or not.

mine had a problem where it waS IDLING VERY LOW and then would hunt every now and then.

so i gave it a full service and cleaned the throttle body out with some carby cleaner and it idles like a charm now..
