How to open the door

ok...so ive got the window..thanks to I8AFRE....but the problem now is i cant get the actuall glass into the door. is there a trick to this...i want to finish this today if possilble. please help me

and i forgot to mention i have spent since 10am this morning on this...so please dont say have a look at it ..or the other door..cos it hasnt helped.

Ok man, ill try to explain the best i can. The window needs to be slid down the gap that it comes up and down out of (the top of the door). You need to remove the door trim and the black trim that runs along the top of the door (do you know what i mean). Start by aiming the front of the window down into the gap. I cant get photobucket to work at the moment...... can you take any pics of what you are doing?? Sorry bro i just dont know how to explain betta than that

ok basicallly i have taken the trim of the top of the door off. The top is as clear and open as it can be, but i dont get how the window is going to be bolted to the thing that lifts it up and down, while i am holding it in place ?ill take a pic and see what u think

yea i received...the packaging was good...it made sure the glass wouldnt break...

..i am not able to take pics cos the lighting in my garage is really bad. but basically the top of the door is open as much as possible..there is no rubber, no plastic, just the main frame of the door.nothing else. i just dont see how i am meant to bolt on the window to the window sliding thing in the door while the glass is in mid air. also it doesnt seem to fit through without a bit of pushing, which is scaring me and thinking its going to break.

triple post again...im sorry...i got my window put in by obrien windows and they put it in perfectly but now the power doesnt work. they said that they werent able to reset the codes or something of that nature and now when i press the up/down for the window the window goes up then down with one push of the button...does anyone know what i should do ?

I think cause you pulled out everything, the adjustment is out on the motor. I think what is happening is the window is thinking that something is in the way so the safety feature comes on and drops the window back down. Im not sure if this is the case just the only thing i can think of. How to adjust the motor......sorry i have no idea

thats the one...that the exact wording they used.. .. " the safety feature kicks in and puts the window back down"

does anyone know how to fix this ?

yea everything is in place and all wired up. i can control the window up and down, but the automatic button for the window to go up takes the window up but then brings it down a little, so i have to slowly put the window all the way up. other than that...automtic for putting the window down is perfect. i am gonna leave as it is for a few days a see if it fixes it self. if not, i will take to mitsu and see what they can do.

No worries mate glad to help you out. However i dont think it will sort itself out. I replaced my mums window in her RAV 4 and it did the exact same thing. Let me know how it goes
