They can't spray the engine bay, unless less you want them to take the engine out and f**k it up trying to put it back together.

Got to question why it was sprayed one factory colour to another factory colour ??

Accident damage and then repaired ??

Welcome to the club :) If you can deal with the engine bay & interior being a different colour than the rest of the car then I wouldn't worry about what anyone else thinks..

Just be on the lookout for accident damage ..

thanks guys helps a lot i never even considered accident damage.
im a bit of a perfectionist i dont know if i could handle not having it the same colour
although it does give me the option to clean the engine up if i was to take it all apart
A car can massage organs which no masseur can reach. It is the one remedy for the disorders of the great sympathetic nervous system.

I'm the same .. I think I would have to get the car painted back to red, or at least a unique shade of red .. cause even if you painted the engine bay white, the interior panels of the car are still going to be red - even though you can't see them, I reckon it'd still bug me.

Check through the newbies section for "What to look for when buying an FTO" as well ;)

I have sprayed a few cars from 1 stock colour to another... No accident involved...

Mainly just I was sick of the colour, and when I wanted (say a white car) I could not find the model I wanted in that colour .... So re-spray ...

Mind due, my colours were not your normal colours... Went from a sh*tty blue to a Purple ... And changed the Evo/GSR from a dodgy blue to the Evo X blue... Did get to spray most of the engine bay black though ... But didn't want to take the engine out, as it was hard enough to put everything in their the first time....

well im off to have a look at the car this sat so im hoping there is no damage to the car at all, as it is very nicely priced for a 99' version R manual with rooftop. i will deffinately buy it if all goes well.
