New buddyclubs installed!

Post by bushido »

Hey everyone. I have just gotten some Buddyclubs P1 racing SFs installed. I got it done by Buddyclub in lidcombe for a total of $2300. The wheels are 17 x 7 inch with 42 offset in matte black. Tyres are Federal 595 RS-R semi slick/road tyres. I love how light the wheels are.

Anyway here are some pics.

Harry I think you might have me confused with someone else. Last set of wheels I had were the stockies :D . And they're in the garage. Thanks for the comments everyone! I do hope to get out and do some serious driving before Uni starts again.

they should be good :D
going off the RS2s they work very well in the wet and dry so yours sould be the same if not better.
just start of slow with your turnes and work the speed up that way you dont over step the mark and end up of the road.

Can you actually feel the car pull harder with less weight hanging off the axles?

Ben I don't understand  And I have no base for comparison. Previous tyres were "kabillion year old" "new" Pirelli P700Zs in 225/45ZR 16 on the stcok wheels and they were horrible. In a straight line they were ok but cornering was poor. In the wet it was even worse. The Feds are by far much better. I wouldnt go so far as to say that the car sticks right to the chosen line because I have no intention of taking out a bunch of schoolkids or grannies (or maybe I wasnt going fats enough), but they cornering grip is really good.

Does that answer anything?

And I didnt get a chance to give it some in the rain. xp

v nice bushido ... do you reckon they weight less than the 16's? with tyres combined? i think my "super light" 17's weight more then my 16s did. they are a lot wider though :D

Yes and Yes. :D If just new tyres can make me feel more confident about driving the car then I think they are pretty damn good. Braking has also improved heaps.

SG to answer your question, The wheel itself in 17 inch weighs 7.8 kg ( or maybe it was 6.8 kg) add in the tyre ..hmm not too sure about that. Put carrying both wheel and tyre in the 16 inch stock and then the 17inch I feel the stockies are heavier.

or maybe thats just me. You guys ever feel like after you buy something you really like you dont really care about the reality anymore? Kind of like a placebo effect. Or is that a bad analogy? But yes I think they are lighter than the stockies
