Brake Rotor Upgrade Prices
Hey all,
Just been in contact with a good friend of mine who distributes Protec/DBA Rotors before they even get to DBA!
I've enquired about prices for the FTO, both the GR and GPX models. From what I know the GPX are twin pot calipers and GR are single at the fronts, but the rears are identical.
You will not find a cheaper price for these anywhere on the net. These are literally trade prices!
Price List:
Mitsubishi FTO GPX
---------------------
Front
Protec (Standard Rotor) - $115 + GST (Pair)
DBA (Standard Rotor) - $135 + GST (Pair)
DBA (Slotted) - $240 + GST (Pair)
DBA Gold (Slotted & Drilled) - $305 inc GST (Pair) <------ sorry, it's inc not + GST appologies
Rear
Please contact me for prices on Rears

Changing the brakes won't help the fading, my suggestion would be change the brake pads, it will give you a lot more braking power then the rotor!! And of course it would be better if you change both of them.payaya wrote:are the GPX brakes noticably better than the GR's? I find that the GR brakes seems to fade really quick. I remember trying to slow for a turn when i was doing 140, i bloody missed the turn!
Depends on what kind of driving you do, as different performance brake pad need different warm up time, so choose wisely. I'm currently running DBA Gold cross/slot (as above) at the front, & Endless brake pads for both front & back.
