Hi all i havea mivec controller was working fine doign what it should has two lights on it one says high and ones says low low is when mivec isnt engaged. Now today i was isntalling a aftermarket tacho all i installed was the ground wire and the red wire which i jammed in to the 15A fuse and now it says mivec is always engaged?? liek the light on high is on and u can tell on lower rpm them car is kinda struggling doesnt have as much power so mivec is permanently engaged since i disconnected the battery does this have something to do with it?

i have been reading manuals and guide for everythign and anything all over the internet im pretty sure since i disconnected the battery and it was for longer than 30 mins the ecu reset thats how far i got anyone else care to chip in? if i remove the mivec controller so take it out of the car and reset the ecu by disconecting the batery for 30 mins will this solve my problems and make mivec only kick in when it should at 5500rpm (aprox) ?
