Anyone had similar experiences installing these things and know if it'll fit ok in the double din of the fto?
Will a 7" DVD screen fit ok in DoubleDin of FTO

If its said double din, then it should fit fine, i had a double din all in one in my old FTO before.
Just a general warning, you get what you pay for, i would advice to get a proper one if you serious about sound. You might save a few hundreds with it but the quality is not worth the saving.
I'm speaking from my experience, i changed the sound system in the FTO 6 times and i end up with all Alpine units which includes, stand alone DVD player, 6.5" Screen, brain control unit and a seprate 16 channel EQ. By far its the best sound i had in the FTO, I also hook it up with Clarion Pro AMP, Fusion Cap and Diamond Audio Hex series speakers.

Thanks for the post back... yeah, i know their not going to give me best sound quality... or perhaps even reliability.. what i'm looking for in the end is purely compatibility...FTO338 wrote:If its said double din, then it should fit fine, i had a double din all in one in my old FTO before.

I want to play music videos and watch some shows and stuff from time to time which are encoded in divx/xvid oh and play mp3's from dvd's and my phone (which acts as a portable harddrive on USB)... so long as they play without any issues, i'll be a very happy man....
I was thinking of maybe settling for a very basic sound system as well.. possibly a 10/12" sub.. but not sure what i'll need for that as far as will a monoblock do and have the rest running off the deck? I don't want it to be over-bassy if that makes sense??
Oh and one last thing... my front speakers blew (stockies) are they 6" or what do i need to replace them??

The stocky front speakers are 6.5". Anything is better then stock these days, so thats pretty easy.
Kenwood got some nice all in one system that are around $1k have a look at those before you decided.
Give Daniel at Options a call and see if he got something that fits into your budget and requirements. I don't have his shop number but i've his mobile, PM me if you want it.
