Need help about vibrating mirror when pumping my subs

Anyone know what you can do besides changing the socket that attaches to the window? I heared foam could be put on it but not sure what its called? any info would be great thanks.

Realx , dont worry i have the same problem...

I got a Massive System & i got sound detenator put in mine and what they done for your problem is put sort of a Foam MATERIAL , and that stops it from rattling and moving and yeahh...

Im going DEAF!

estimated 40 years of age! Hearing Aid! lol

I second that .... but it could be tricky in the mirror cause you don't want to stop it from being able to adjust with the controls.. & folding up .... & blue tac could come loose too easily...

Usually adding weight to it should help to reduce the vibrations... might be able to put a bit of dynamat on the back of the mirror glass ...

Some adhesive foam strips from Clark Rubber are good at cutting down vibrations in panels etc.. you might be able to use those ...

mmm... i suggest that you just take the mirror off & strip it to pieces first, then you will have an idea of what can be done ...

cork wood or rubber wedged between the mirror and the plate it sits on might help a bit
(just off memory from when i took a mirror apart)

i think my mirrors are about to fall off lol my car all rattles two 900w rms subs the best you can do is put sound deading throught the whole car.

Mine pretty bad as well when i stand out of the car and shut the doors the roof of my car vibrates to the sh*t house

Trust me , its difficult.But yea

2 sheets of dynomat
take the pillar panels off to take off the roof lining
roof lining comes out with a bit of messing around through one of the doors.
line up the dyno mats, peel the brown paper off stick it on
put roof lining back on
put pillar panels back on

Probably the easiest panel to dyno mat cos it's nice and flat and easily accesable.

blocks out limited amount of road noise, blocks out a lot of rain noise, boxes speaker sound in, makes the roof panel much more stable, only downside is it raises your center of gravity by a poofteenth of a mm.

$40-50 worth of dynomat
30-45min of work (takes more time to dynomat the 2 panels behind the doors than your roof)

How is this a big job?
The moral of the story?
- if u dont know then dont talk
