Just ordered new front bar.

Post by FtoSam »

Just bought a new front bar..

Purchased off DMD The Image.

Its a Bozz Speed but is being modified to suit my car (i.e. center bar removal and recess the rear for Intercooler fitment...)

Image

Similair to that but as i said... center peice removed... nice for air flow!! :D

Getting Cameron at Camerons Smash to fit and paint it..

Bar should be finished by Friday and prepped next week... and be on as soon as the car is back...

All in time for autosalon...

Hey Samson, Few Questions;

How do you know about Cameron's Smash Repairs? Have you seen their work?
I'm guessing they must do a top job?

Your Dents don't have paint chipped do they? Any idea how much to fix up a couple with paint chipped off? (Will just give them a call if you don't know ;))

Was the quote for fixing up the holes in your boot & Respraying cheaper than other places?

Hey mate... Yeh the $300 was quite cheap... most were around $400-450..

I found them through a reccomendation from another place... and yeh, top notch work...

Havent seen their work, but im running out of time...

My dents have no paint missing... to fix a dent would be the same price as mine, however you have to respray the whole panel...

If you're planning a respray in the future just get the dint fixed and wait till later to get everything painted in one go... ONe panel will be at least the $300 mark..

Hehe, I like that. Sort of like - kill a person you're a murderer, kill a million, you're a conquerer.

Nice choice of bar too Sam 8)

Yeah, I wish my dents were only dents ... they've chipped the paint off on all of them... :S

I am getting my front bumper replaced with a new stock bumper (will try to wear them down fitting a bodykit, but I don't like my chances) & resprayed cause the repair shop did a dodgy last time ... not gonna cost me anything, but I will have to get it done after Autosalon cause there's no telling how long they will keep my car... and theres so much goin on on the weekends leading up to AS.

As for the paint chips, yeah .. I am just gonna wait until my car is covered with them... then get a full respray.. Before I get a respray done I want to have a go at prepping & painting them myself... (And have a go at removing the dents) not the whole panel, just the area they're in. If I screw it up, then I will take it in to be done by the pro's.
