Hi all

Post by overboostin007 »

Just wanting to say hello to eveyone since i am now a proud owner of a 95 fto gpx manual. Just picked it up tonight. It is black with glitter through it. She is getting put up on the hoist tomorrow and getting a new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. The throw out bearing has seen better days. But she will be gone through with a fine tooth comb and everything will be bought back to it original condition.

Hi all

Post by overboostin007 »

No it's not the one from sa. I picked it up in bris. A young fella owned it and had let it go. I have spent a few afternoons tidying it up. I have had the clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing replaced. But I still have the noise so it looks like the box is comming out again. I guessing the input shaft bearing is stuffed. Has anyone else had a problem like this with the 5spd gpx mivec at all?

Hi all. Well i have located a new 5spd manual mivec box. 1 in aust and tried all the importers. So i will be selling off my old one. Just need a steper motor as she idles high around 2-3k then drops back to a thou. Have cleaned it and still the same. Where can you get these new? Or are they interchangable with any other cars?

Yeah i replaced the alternator as someone had a two one running. I picked up a rebuilt alternator from All Jap Auto in brisbane. Now the mivec is engaging. Gearbox should be here tomorrow. And i will be selling off the old one if anyone is interested
